School Break Filmmaking Camps
For youth ages nine through 12 (10-13 for Advanced Camps) at the SIFF Film Center over mid-winter, spring, and summer breaks.
Students between the ages of nine and 12 (10-13 for Advanced Camps) will have the opportunity to explore filmmaking with exciting five-day sessions with master filmmaking educators. These five-day camps will be held between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM and are limited to 20 students. With a master film educator and supporting mentors, students will receive an immersive experience in the craft of filmmaking.

LANGSTON Filmmaking Workshops for Black Youth: Spring Break Camp is a great primer for students who are interested in experiencing the process of making a short film. This camp collaboration is open specifically to black youth.
June 29 - July 3, 2020
Students (ages 9-12) will be introduced to the infinite possibilities of filmmaking using green screen and other digital editing tools in this week-long camp.

Are you fascinated with the world around us? Learn how to craft non-fiction stories in in this week-long camp for students aged 9-12.
July 27 - 31, 2020
Using clay figures, paper cutouts, LEGO, and more, students (aged 9-12) will explore the limits of their imagination with storytelling that is both practical and surreal.
August 3 - 7, 2020
Take your animation skills to the next level! Students (aged 10-13) will explore the artistry of stop-motion animation with more advanced materials and storytelling expectations.
August 17 - 21, 2020
Students (aged 10-13) will spend a week enhancing film soundscapes by learning all about foley artistry, music cues, voice overs, and more!
August 24 - 28, 2020
Shot angles, editing tricks, the magic of effects! Students (ages 10-13) will learn how to use special effect techniques for the screen in this week-long camp.
